I have been an active part of the political process across Texas for almost two decades, fighting for lower taxes, stronger property rights, and transparency in the government process. Many of us moved to Whitney to get away from the politics and expense of living in a big city. There are plenty of ways to support growth in Whitney without micromanaging that process: the free market unleashes a host of solutions for property owners.
REAL transparency in government means making
key information available quickly and easily for residents. Agenda packets, context of public hearings, and budget details should not require expensive lawyer-directed requests. I have worked to post information on our local facebook group named WAVE:
Whitney Area Voter Engagement.

I have been live-streaming the city meetings and archiving them on my youtube channel:

I am most active on facebook, with a "Council Member Amy Teal" page for reporting on City-specific stuff. I am still working to reach more residents and expand awareness in the city, and always appreciate help in that regard. Donations go towards paper and ink for printing costs of hangers and flyers.

This is a small town, but we have a lot of voters to reach, educate, and KEEP engaged: 13% of registered voters turned out in this past May election.
Their Vote Mattered.
Our mayoral race was decided by two provisional votes, and I won my seat by THREE votes. Your donations help us continue to reach over 1400 voters in multiple ways-- thank you for your support!
